The Story Behind YFP
Dear Students, Migrants, and Families,
Over two decades ago, I arrived in Australia as an international student with ambition and clear academic goals. While the application process was supported, I soon realised that the realities of daily life setting up banking and phone services, understanding health cover, finding accommodation, preparing a local résumé, applying for jobs, and building a sense of belonging were largely left to figure out independently.
Over the years, I studied, graduated, and built a professional career in finance and administration, working across higher education, government, and corporate environments. Through this journey, one gap remained consistently clear: students and migrants often arrive with approvals in place, but without practical guidance for settling into life in Australia.
YFP Global was created to address this gap.
